1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Auspicious Time Android application (“App”) accesses and handles information. The App provides location-based sunrise, sunset, Rahu Kalam, Gulika Kalam, Yamagandam, Choghadiya, Graha Hora and Muhurta timings.
2. Location information
The App requests foreground location permission only when you tap the current-location button. Location is used to calculate timings for your area. It is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties. You may deny permission and select a city manually.
3. Information stored on your device
The App stores your selected language, city name and coordinates in local app preferences so that the App and home-screen widget can retain your choices. This information remains on your device. You can remove it by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App.
4. Data collection and sharing
The current version does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, payment processing or third-party tracking SDKs. We do not collect or share personal data through the App.
5. Permissions and background activity
Location is accessed only during a user-initiated foreground request. The widget uses Android alarms to refresh displayed timings; this does not collect or transmit personal data. The App does not request background location.
6. Data retention and deletion
Because App preferences remain only on your device, we do not retain them on our servers. Clear the App’s storage or uninstall it to delete locally stored preferences. We have no App account or server-side user record to delete.
7. Children’s privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
8. Security
Calculations and saved preferences are handled locally. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device. No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
